I was reading a lot of the negative reviews, but I see what's in common with majority of them: they are coming from cheap and demanding customers. Why are so many of you upset of the price increase? Most businesses have been hurting since the pandemic and since inflation hit, this business needs to increase their prices to survive to stay open. If you can't afford an extra $5 cost than you shouldn't be eating out in the first place. Some people understand how a business is ran and ignorant people assume a business makes bank. If the owners made so much money with this place, then why were they the ones attending the restaurant, serving tables, making sure everyone is happy. Anyone who knows the owners also know how sweet they are. I've been a customer of Cabin Sushi for over a decade and I never once had an issue. Owners work hard and are really sweet! They are always so welcoming and ask how my family is doing. My whole family loves coming here! And they ask because they genuinely care! I'm a sushi go-er that eats sushi 2 or 3x a week and this place is a master of their craft. Sushi has always been fresh and thick! The people who are complaining, truly have no clue what their talking about and most likely never tried places like Kura Sushi. I moved to Brea, Ca and still make an effort to come to Cabin Sushi because that is how amazing it is. So with that being said, I'm content with everything Cabin Sushi has to offer and how thankful I am that they've delivered amazing food for over a decade!

It's been 6 years since my boyfriend and I have tried this place. We were celebrating our 6 year anniversary and thought it would be cool to come back to the sushi restaurant that we first ate at together. We were surprised to see that they had remodeled the place. It looks really nice! More modern and trendy looking. The staff was absolutely the best. So sweet and our waiter was always checking in on us. He also gave us some great recommendations on what to order. The menu has also definitely grown. There are way more roll options now. Everything looked so good but we narrowed it down to 4 rolls: Hot Woman, Ichiban, Eskimo, and Crunch Crunch. My favorite rolls were the Hot Woman and the Eskimo. So good! And our absolute favorite was the sushi pieces. We ordered yellowtail, salmon, and eel. Omg...the salmon and yellowtail tasted amazing! So fresh and thick and doesn't have a fishy smell or aftertaste. And this opinion is based on the fact that my bf and I eat sushi almost every week and have tried a lot of different places. This is our new favorite spot in Riverside. We will definitely be coming back again. 10/10

Most excellent nigiri!!! We had both the salmon and the tuna -- succulent, delicious, almost an out-of-body experience!! The rolls were quite unique as well. The 911 roll is quite interesting, and worth ordering -- makes me salivate just thinking about it! Service was excellent as well!

We were looking for a place to eat before we headed to the Festival of Lights in Riverside last week. My girlfriend picked this place out after reading the reviews and I was not disappointed....in some things. It was well within walking distance of where we parked as well as where the festivities were taking place, so with that being said let's get into it! Ambience: 7/10 This place isn't overly fancy nor does it give off the vibe of being a hole in the wall. It falls somewhere in between. There's a lot of open space and adequate seating but there isn't a lot of feng shui being incorporated here. Food Satisfaction: 9/10 The food and drinks were really good. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the Philadelphia roll. Definitely two of my favorite sushi rolls to order whenever I go out for sushi. My girlfriend had the vegetable udon, an avocado roll, and the vegetable roll. We were really not fans of the vegetable roll. The flavour wasn't all that great. I'm personally not a fan of cilantro and it was loaded with cilantro and a couple of other ingredients that didn't really pair well. Outside of that everything else was great. The most outstanding part about the food is the presentation in my honest opinion. They really go above and beyond with presentation which made me feel like I was eating at a higher end sushi restaurant. The portion sizes are also pretty large which I respected. Customer Service: 9/10 Our waitress Leia was so fun and energetic! She was easily the best waitress there as the other ones didn't seem too attentive or inviting. I'm giving 9 stars thanks to her stellar customer service. She made our drinks and really seemed to care about what we thought of them. She checked on us and provided us with anything we needed. To highlight my earlier comment about her service compared to others I will state that while she was busy tending to other tables we were looking around for her to ask for some assistance and several waiters/waitresses walked by us without so much as an acknowledgement that they'd be right with us. She came from across the room to acknowledge us and answer my questions. She absolutely deserves a raise or a promotion. If you eat here and happen to get Leia as your waitress please leave her a generous tip. She absolutely deserves it. Price Point: 8/10 I personally feel some items were overpriced on the menu. Primarily the Philadelphia roll. It is considered a premium roll at this establishment which isn't so at any other sushi restaurant I've been to. I'm not used to paying $15 for a Philadelphia roll but I did it because I love those and was craving them. There are actually a considerable amount of rolls that are premium here but would be considered regular at other places. I'm not sure if it's because of how it's presented or if it's something else but I found that to be pretty interesting. I'd say the price point for the soups and other dishes were fair since the portion sizes are large. I'm just not entirely sure the sushi was worth the price outside of the presentation. Overall: 7.5/10 Had it not been for the service of our waitress and the presentation of the food I'm positive I would've given this place a solid 2-3 stars. Leia really helped boost my review for this place. Others, not so much. I'm not sure if it was just a busy night for the rest of the staff, but I really think the service could be improved upon. I don't think people should have to look around incessantly and try to flag someone down just to be serviced. I also think some rearranging of furniture and maybe a bit more decor would really add to the ambience of the space. There's a lot of potential for a really nice atmosphere. Some effort just needs to go into making sure that is achieved. I liked my experience here, but I probably won't return. I would like to see what other sushi restaurants Riverside has to offer, but I always encourage anyone who is curious to try it out and develop their own thoughts.
